I want to travel to Guantanamo Bay to visit U.S. Naval Station. What will be the best way for me to travel from Santiago de Cuba to get there? Also, once I get here, to what extent will I be allowed to visit US Naval Station there?

You can travel using a taxi or Viazul bus to go to Santiago de Cuba to Guantanamo…however, as was mentioned, visiting the base is something you cannot freely do and will not be permitted to enter. And taking pictures is NOT permitted.
But as Beardo said, you could probably see it from around the area way outside the base.
The best thing is to see it in pictures and keep your distance.
Communications between the US base and the rest of Cuba are very limited. People would need a lot of special permissions. Your better approach would be to leave Cuba, and travel separately to the US base.
If you want to get as close to the base as you can within Cuba, there are a couple of viewing points either side of the base. You would need to get to Guantanamo City (by bus, train, taxi) and from there to the viewpoints probably by taxi.
If you want to go to Cuba, Santiago de Cuba, and you say that you want to go to the base in Guantanamo, as somebody says, very likely you will be put in the tank with all expenses paid, courtesy of fidel
When, and if, you come back, you will have acquired a very useful experience and you will be qualified to talk about comunist regimes with total knowledge

You cannot under any circumstances enter Guantanamo Bay from the Cuban side unless you are invited by the U.S. Military and then you would arrive on their transport. If you go near the base and try to take pictures or approach too closely the Cuban Military who surround the base from the outside will approach you and stop you .
All U.S. installations in Cuba are surrounded by Cuban Military including the U.S. Mission in Havana. They dont like you taking pictures or approaching too closely.
If you wanna see it look at it on Google Earth. Thats the best view you are likely to get
Are you REALLY THAT STUPID? if you are an AmeriKan and you take the bus from Santiago to Guantanamo Bay.. YOU WILL BE ARRESTED. If you are going to Cuba the very LAST THING you want to do is have ANYTHING to do with ANY PART of the AmeriKan government.
