She said in an interview with the New York Times on Feb 17, 2005: “Kim Jong Il is head of a sovereign nation, one that has always used socialist principles for the betterment of its peoples. The US should not be involved”
Will these words come back to haunt her now? It is very embarrassing for the Democrat Socialist Party to be tied to communism, even if that is their ultimate agenda. Shame on Obama!

I looked it up and that quote doesn’t exist. She may have just said that we should respect a state’s sovereignty, not the socialist principles. Don’t make up fake quotes to fulfill your conservative ideology.

  2. Independent Centrist says:

    What she said is factual.
Kim Jong Il IS the head of a sovereign nation, that uses socialist principles for what it believes is the betterment of its peoples. After all, the United States uses capitalist principles for what it believes is the betterment of its peoples.
And, she is correct. The US should not get involved in North Korea’s internal affairs.

  3. John H says:

Betterment of the people? Hah even the left biased media doesn’t try to hide all the human rights abuse that go on in North Korea. How he starves his whole nation and then blackmails the rest of world with weapons tests to feed them.
But Kim Jong Il is a Comunist.
Obama is a Che Guevara admirer and I wouldn’t be surprised if Sotomayor isn’t one also.

  4. Lordperc says:

    why would she insult them/>?
    she isn’t a child
a democratic socialist by Definition wouldn’t be socialist
get used to that losing feeling you will feel it for decades more right wing nutty you get with questions like this more voter will vote for a centrist like Obama and less for nut job right wingers

  5. Moose says:

Nothing anyone would say would ever hurt any nominee. The more liberal the better. The media printed media has a very strong liberal bias as do most of the news stations.
So far 7 cabinet members for tax fraud, numerous corruption charges among high officials, a Joy ride by Air Force 1 all doesn’t seem to influence one way or another.

  6. I don't understand the hate says:

I did a search on the New York Times website. No such quote.
I did a search on google. No such quote.

  7. Lady B says:

    Let’s hope so.
Sotomayor is a twisted liberal socialist racist thinker. I think I covered it.
It all comes down to the Senate Votes.

  8. Will says:

She didn’t say anything that wasn’t the truth. She was merely referencing North Korean politics and policies. You probably should learn to read a little more comprehensively.

I don’t see where she said anything that is a lie.* I was going to take you seriously but when you used the socialist party crap that feeling just went away.*

  11. Joan S says:

This supposed quotes are always a bit suspect when there’s no link to the original source. The reality is, Sotomayor will be confirmed with or without the GOP side show.

  12. Tiedye D says:

She is guaranteed to be confirmed.

  13. f says:

She said it because she’s the wackjob far left activist judge we all knew 0bama would nominate
